SENIOR REGENT'S MESSAGE
Hello All!
We hope you enjoyed the Father's Day Brunch many thanks to the Lodge Members Jimmy Ewing, Charlie Bean, Cholly
Springer, just to name a few, who pitched in and helped us out. The Mother's Day Brunch was excellent too!
The Chapter again will provide food service during Sunday afternoon regular season Redskin games. If you would
like to take a turn in helping out, come to a meeting and volunteer.
We are also planning a Shrimp Dinner in September, look for the exact date in the next bulletin.
I would like to remind the Chapters appointed officers and chairwomen that attending meetings is important and
one way to know what is happening or planned. All chairwomen should take a turn at chairing a Redskin game or other event.
Dont forget our meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm -- I'd like to see you there.
If you should have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to give me a call. My home number is (410) 255-2118.
Have a fun and safe summer!
Millie Grason
Sr. Regent
WOW! I can't believe my year has come to an end. I truly enjoyed being your Sr. Regent. I will have
to say it was definitely better the 2 nd time around.
I've learned a great deal this year, I just
hope that I passed on some of my knowledge. Thank you so much to my Board of Officers, without you I couldn't have made it.
A very special thanks to my Recorder Linda Davis for keeping me straight. I truly appreciate all that you have done for me.
To my Chairmen, thank you for a job well done! A Sr. Regent can't make it through the year without the support of her Chapter.
Thank you all so much!
I would also like to thank Jimmy Ewing, Larry Johnson, Charlie Bean, Eddie Burroughs, Bobby Washabaugh, Vernon
Marquart, Gary Barbour, Neil Hansen and Tim Kenney for helping with cooking, cleaning, running the wheels, etc.
To the newly elected officers, I wish you much success with the upcoming year. I look forward to working with you!
In closing, I want to especially thank my wonderful husband Dennis for his support and for all that he has helped
me with during this past year.
God Bless You All!
Susan Simpson
Jr. Grad. Regent

Our standing in the State Association
is based in large part on our membership not only enrollments, but on retention. So a big thanks goes to all the members that
have paid their dues whether it was your second year or your forty-second year. On top of enrolling a lot of new members last
year, we lost very few members to nonpayment. I hope you keep up the good work! Former Members: Are you looking to get
back into the Chapter? If somehow your membership was overlooked, I can help! Please drop me a line via e-mail at lindacdavi@aol.com
(no s) or to the Chapter at WOTM 1350, PO Box 1218, Upper Marlboro, MD 20773-1218, or call and leave a message 301-780-8767
(Chapter office) or 301-248-3448 (home). You can be reinstated (out under a year) or reenrolled (out more than a year) very
easily. I will work with you to get it done. Want to Transfer to Marlboro Chapter? Procedures for doing this have changed
to make it easier. If you want to transfer to Marlboro, just see me, I will get it started and done for you. I try to keep
a supply of WOTM application forms (lavender color)on the counter as you enter the Lodge please help yourself to them if you
have a friends that want to join. If there is none out, ask a bartender or one of the women, if Im not in the Lodge. Filled
out applications (along with the $10 enrollment fee) can be left with the bartender for me to pick up for our next Board of
Officers meeting held on the second Wednesday of each month. If all goes right, the enrollment ceremony can be attended on
the first Wednesday of the next month.
Our new theme this year is a pair of red ruby slippers-- Come Walk With Us
-- Sponsor candidates. If anyone has a idea that we can use for decorating, please let us know. Thanks!
Fraternally,
Linda Davis, Recorder
